After a few rough nights, we realized Eloise has acid reflux like Michael did. Michael's wasn't near this bad but we knew she needed something to ease her tummy. So at 3 1/2 weeks the doctor put her on Prevacid. When I took her in, she weighed 9 lbs 2 oz! She's one growing girl!
The doctor also pointed out that she was still a teeny bit jaundice in her face and chest still so to keep her in the sun as much as possible.
In April, we also celebrated Aunt Mit's bday!
We also went to Aunt Heather's LDC choir show.
This is where little Loi girl had her first blow out. As soon as the lights went down, she did her "poop moan" and I knew she needed to be changed. Once I laid her down on the changing table, I realized the damage. Sweet girl had it all up her tummy, sides, and back. Needless to say, her darling Sunday dress was bagged and she spent the night in the "emergency" sleeper. Good thing I grabbed an extra outfit for 'just in case'!
Our Loi Girl at 1 month...
*Eloise has just grown out of her newborn outfits and into a lot of the 3 month. She's just so long and skinny!
*She usually sleeps a 5-6 hour stretch at night and then after a feeding will sleep another 3-4 hours
*She lifts her head off my shoulder while being burped and can hold it pretty long
*Unlike her brother, Eloise does not love being swaddled. If she's clearly awake, she wants her arms out.
*She still makes a string of long moans/grunts/pushing while she's pooping. At least we always know when she needs to be changed :)
*She's quite the lady in that she doesn't really burp -- quite frustrating when we're trying to burp her
*Also unlike her brother, she could give or take the swing. We're hoping she grows into this.
*She loves to be held! She's quite spoiled because we love to hold her.
*Her eyes are becoming more clear blue each day.
*Loi sneezes like her Aunt Abbie--sneeze after sneeze with no breath in between
*This little girls loves her binky
*She's our little hiccup girl -- she gets them a lot
*She loves her brother and follows his voice
*Sometimes she'll roll her from back to her side, then back and to the other side. She's pretty strong.
*She likes white noise and the chirping crickets on her sound machine
*At 4 weeks she smiled at us on purpose and she's been smiling ever since.
We're so in love!
